With many of recipes for some of my most popular crystalline glazes, this workshop will provide extra information to ceramists who want to master this complex  aspect of  crystalline glazes. 

I personally tested many of the recipes, and carefully reviews every one. I would like to talk about the COLOR CHART. Which color will go to the crystal? which one in the background? will it change with acids? and with post reduction firings?  

In this workshop I want to try to answer these questions with lots of glazes as an example. I also want to talk more about some glazes where the application is very different than I usual do and plays a very important role in the end result.

This is not a basic workshop!!!! Is better if you have already done the Level 1 workshops first!

Schedule:

DAY 1.     Talking about some specific glazes. Recipes, application, firing schedule and many more. 

 

 

DAY 2        Recipes using bismuth and other Galaxy Glazes combinations. Firing Schedules. We will be talking extended about this glazes and firings.

 

 

DAY 3      Color Chart .  Base recipes, oxides combination.

DAY 4      Color Chart.  More recipes and oxides combination. Specific firing schedules for some oxides combination.

DAY 5       Post reduction firings. Demo Post reduction firing. Tips when doing a post reduction firing.

DAY 6       Modifying the galaxy glazes. How bismuth and other oxides works in post reduction firings.
